Deputy Commissioner of Police
Mr. Leamond Deleveaux enlisted into the Royal Bahamas Police Force (RBPF) on 10 December 1984. He worked in a number of areas within the RBPF which included the Southern and Western Division, Abaco, Eleuthera, Mayaguana, Bimini, Cat Island, North and South Andros, Prosecutions Department and Central Division.
He obtained his early education at the All Aged School in Betsy Bay, Mayaguana. He also studied at the University of London (External) where he obtained an Associate's Degree in Criminal Law. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Law with the University of London external programme.
Mr. Deleveaux is very knowledgeable; his managerial and motivational skills were essential to him obtaining the rank of Deputy Commissioner. He spent a total of eight (8) years in the Central Division (Tourism Police Unit) with special emphasis on Tourism Security and Safety. DCP Deleveaux attended a Peaceful Resolution Course in China. He also lectured in Antigua on Town Safety and Security. He attended two (2) courses on Port Security and Safety at the Port of Miami.
He is also the recipient of two police medals: Meritorious and Long Service & Good Conduct Awards.
DCP Deleveaux attends Abundant Grace Church, Balmoral House.
His hobbies include reading and caring for the Elderly. He is the proud father of two boys.
