In keeping with the Commissioner policing plan priority one objective increase overall workforce morale by ensuring that all welfare concerns are addressed. On Friday, 15th October, 2021 around 10:00am, Assistant Commissioner T. Cunningham along with Chief Superintendent Wendell Smith, the welfare coordinators for Grand Bahama & Northern Bahamas District Georgina Saunders and Inspector Miriam Russell held a Recognition Service in the Conference Room at Police Headquarters for all the officers that lost their parents between January, 2020 & October, 2021. The Moderator for this event was Inspector Miriam Russell. Welcome remarks were brought by Georgina Saunders followed by remarks from ACP. T. Cunningham. He expressed condolences on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, and officers of the entire Northern Bahamas District of the Royal Bahamas Police Force on the passing of their love ones. He assured them that the department is praying for them as they go through this challenging time in their lives. A small token of love was distributed to the officers on behalf of the welfare committee Northern District. They received fruit baskets and tumblers along with a card signed by ACP. T. Cunningham. The officers were very appreciative knowing that their welfare is of paramount importance
