Police Women Outreach and Giveaway Committee hosted a successful food and clothing drive at Windsor Park, East Street, and Wulff Road, in celebration of 60 years of women in policing.
Highlights of the event included:
Free Blood Pressure and Glucose Testing provided by the dedicated team from the Police Sick Bay.
Free Hair Cutting and Braiding by both senior and junior officers, showcasing the unity across generations and the mentorship of senior officers to the next wave of female leaders in policing.
We served 250 breakfasts and distributed 400 bags of groceries, blessing numerous families in the community. Additionally, the Community Outreach and Domestic Violence Unit handed out clothing and books to grateful recipients.
The event featured live DJ music, a bouncing castle, and snow cones, creating a festive atmosphere for all attendees.
A heartfelt thank you from the Commissioner of Police, ACPs Knowles and McKenzie, Women Police President Ch/Supt. Darville, and the Community Outreach Committee goes out to everyone who contributed. Whether you donated items, assisted in various ways, or simply attended, your support made this event a tremendous success!
