27 Police Officers Successfully Complete SRO Course
After an intense 40-hours of classroom instruction delivered by international instructors from the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO), 27 proud members of the Royal Bahamas Police Force were certified as SROs.
This diverse group of officers including several from the Family Islands, received their certificates and NASRO pins during the graduation ceremony at Police HQ.
On hand for the special event was the Minister of Education, the Hon. Glenys Hanna-Martin, Minister of National Security, the Hon. Wayne Munroe, Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr. Leamond Deleveax, Assistant Commissioner of Police Mr. Craig Stubbs, School Policing Coordinator Ch. Supt. Dr. Chaswell Hanna, President of the Bahamas Union of Teachers Mrs. Belinda Wilson, and a host of other school safety stakeholders.
These officers will assist in the expansion and deepening of the school policing across The Bahamas as a vital tool in crime prevention.
