After hundreds of submissions from across the globe and much deliberations, the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO), has selected one of the Royal Bahamas Police Force's School Resource Officers (SRO), in the person of Sgt. 1009 Rudolph Pratt to be awarded the *International Exceptional Service Award* for his commitment to creating safer schools and safer children.
Sgt. Pratt was presented with the award over the weekend in Indianapolis, Indiana during NASRO's Annual School Safety Conference. He is attending the Conference with a delegation from the Ministry of Education.
This is the first time in the history of The Bahamas that a Bahamian received this prestigious award.
Sgt. Pratt is assigned as the SRO for the Preston Albury School in Eleuthera.
The Ministry of Education and the Royal Bahamas Police Force congratulate SRO Pratt on this high international honor.
