Commissioner of Police Mr. Clayton Fernander and members of his Senior Executive Leadership Team met with officials from The Ministry of Youth, Sports & Culture to discuss The Bahamas National Youth Guard Program. This program which is the first of its kind is focused on equipping young persons with the tools needed to assist the nation with the help of private and public agencies during national emergencies, such as natural disaster.
Meaningful discussions were held relative to training, housing and preparation of Guard Cadets.
In attendance at the meeting from the RBPF were Commissioner Clayton Fernander, ACP Craig Stubbs, ACP Kirkwood Andrews, ACP Dellareece Ferguson & ACP Kenwood Taylor.
In attendance from the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture were Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture, Hon. Mario Bowleg, Permanent Secretary Cora Bain-Colebrooke, Under Secretary Montez Williams, Head of Division of Youth Sandena Neely, Youth Officer Kenneth Frazier, Youth Officer Don Collie, Assistant Youth Officer Brian Bain and Communications Officer Lamar Matthews.
