NEW PROVIDENCE
POLICE INVESTIGATE HOMICIDE
An investigation is currently ongoing into a shooting incident that resulted in the fatality of an adult male on Wednesday, March 27th, 2024.
According to preliminary reports, shortly after 9:00 p.m. police were alerted to reports of gunshots emanating in the area of Douglas Road in the Gambier Village community. Upon the arrival of responding units, they found an unresponsive adult male at the rear of a business establishment.
Based on preliminary reports, the victim and other patrons were seated outside, behind the establishment, when they were confronted by two masked males brandishing firearms and demanding cash from them. The patrons reportedly panicked and fled for refuge, and as a result, the perpetrators opened fire, which led to the victim being subsequently shot in the upper torso.
EMS personnel responded to the scene; they examined the victim and determined he showed no vital signs of life.
Police are appealing to anyone with information regarding this latest homicide, particularly residents within the Gambier Village community to please contact 911, 919, or the Criminal Investigation Department at 502-9991. Anonymous tips are also welcomed through CRIMESTOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477).
POLICE INVESTIGATE ARMED ROBBERY
Police are actively investigating an armed robbery incident that occurred around 8:40 p.m. on Wednesday 24th January, 2024 in the vicinity of the Montague ramp.
Preliminary reports indicate that the occupants of a white Japanese vehicle accosted the victim, who was seated in his vehicle near the ramp. It is reported that one male exited the vehicle armed with a firearm, approached the victim, and robbed him of his vehicle, a 2014 gray Nissan Note. The suspects fled the area in an easterly direction along the Eastern Road, followed by the suspect’s vehicle.

STOLEN VEHICLE ALERT
The following vehicle was recovered by the police on Wednesday 27th March, 2024:
1. A silver 2014 Nissan Note L/P # AR0115. The vehicle was found on Armbrister Street in Fox Hill and had been reported stolen on Saturday 03rd March, 2024, from Prince Charles Drive.
Police seek the public’s assistance in finding the following vehicle that was reported stolen on Wednesday 27th March, 2024:
1. A white 2008 Nissan Note L/P # AE7384 – stolen from East Street (south) If you have any information about this theft or spot this vehicle, please contact 911, 919, the nearest police station or the Criminal Investigation Department at 502-9991. NORTHERN BAHAMAS
BIMINI: LATEST HOMICIDE INVESTIGATED BY POLICE
Police in Bimini are currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Thursday 28th March, 2024, which has resulted in the death of an adult male.
Initial reports indicate that around 12:20 a.m., police were notified of gunshots being heard near a business establishment on Kings Highway in North Bimini. Upon their arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive male with apparent gunshot injuries.
The victim was further examined by the district medical doctor on scene; however, he showed no signs of life and was subsequently pronounced dead.
