POLICE INVESTIGATE TWO ARMED ROBBERIES
Police in the capital have launched an investigation into the following alleged armed robberies:
The first incident took place on Wednesday 20th March, 2024, around 5:40 a.m. Initial reports indicate that the female victim was standing at a bus stop on Ross Corner when an unknown male armed with a firearm approached and robbed her of her handbag containing personal effects before he fled the area on foot.
The second incident occurred on Thursday 21st March, 2024, at a residence in Marathon Estates. Preliminary reports indicate that around 2:20 a.m., four (4) unknown males, all armed with firearms, confronted the female victim at a home on Samana Drive, robbed her of a blue Nissan Cube, and then fled, traveling south on Grace Avenue.
Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for the stolen vehicle and to call 911, 919, the Criminal Investigation Department at 502-9991, or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS if they have any information regarding these incidents.
FAMILY ISLANDS
ANDROS: ARMED ROBBERY INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY
Police in Andros are investigating an armed robbery incident that occurred at a business establishment on Wednesday 20th March, 2024.
Preliminary reports indicate that around 9:00 p.m., two (2) unknown males, one armed with a firearm and the other with a knife, entered the establishment located in San Andros-North and robbed an employee of an undisclosed amount of cash belonging to the business. The culprits fled the scene on foot, making good on their escape.
