NEW PROVIDENCE

ARMED ROBBERY INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY

Police are searching for a group of males responsible for an alleged armed robbery incident that occurred on Monday 18th March, 2024 in the area of Podoleo Street.

According to reports around 10:15 p.m., the victim had just arrived at a residence when he was confronted by five (5) unknown males, one of whom brandished a firearm, as they robbed the victim of his personal belongings, including a large sum of cash. The culprits fled the scene on foot, running on Lincoln Boulevard, and made good on their escape.

Investigations are ongoing into this matter by the Criminal Investigation Department.

STOLEN VEHICLE ALERT

Police seek the public’s assistance in locating the following vehicle that was reportedly stolen on Monday 18th March, 2024 between 9:00 a.m. and 5:20 p.m.:

  1. A silver 2015 Nissan March L/P #AZ0944 – stolen from West Hill Street

If this stolen vehicle is seen please contact 911, 919, or the Criminal Investigation Department at 502-9991. Furthermore, anonymous tips are also welcome through CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477).

NORTHERN BAHAMAS

GRAND BAHAMA: SUSPECT IN CUSTODY FOLLOWING STABBING INCIDENT

Police in Grand Bahama are questioning a 36-year-old male in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred on Monday 18th March, 2024.

Initial reports indicate that shortly after 9:00 a.m., the suspect allegedly approached, brandished a knife, and subsequently stabbed the male victim, who was seated inside his vehicle, in the parking lot of a business establishment in the vicinity of "Downtown."

Following the altercation, the victim, who sustained a stab wound to his upper torso, managed to flee to a nearby medical facility for assistance, where he is in serious condition.

Shortly after the incident, the 36-year-old male suspect involved surrendered himself to police custody.

Investigations into this incident are ongoing.
