Mr. Clayton Fernander, Commissioner of Police, cordially invites the media to attend the highly anticipated launch and unveiling of the inaugural Royal Bahamas Police Force Technology Expo under the theme; “From Pixels to Protection: Innovation in Public Safety”.

The unveiling is set for Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the Paul Farquharson Conference Center, Police Headquarters.

Media representatives attending are asked to arrive at the Paul Farquharson Center by 9:45 a.m.

EXUMA

POLICE INVESTIGATE ALLEGED DROWNING

Police on the island of Exuma are investigating the reported drowning of a Caucasian adult male.

Police were notified around 12:30 p.m. on Monday 18th March, 2024 that the 74-year-old male was diving in the waters off Normans Cay when he began experiencing difficulties.

The victim was retrieved from the water, and Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) was performed on him; however, these efforts were unsuccessful, and he succumbed.

A team of officers from New Providence will travel to Exuma to assist with further investigations.
