NEW PROVIDENCE

POLICE INVESTIGATE ARMED ROBBERY

Police are searching for three (3) male occupants of a silver Japanese model vehicle who reportedly robbed a female of her silver Nissan March L/P # DA0876 on Sunday 10th March, 2024 while at a residence situated in Elizabeth Estates.

Preliminary reports indicate that around 10:30 p.m., the victim, while dropping off a family member at a residence on Commonwealth Boulevard, was accosted by three (3) male occupants in a silver Japanese vehicle. It is reported that two (2) males exited, produced firearms, and robbed her of her silver Nissan March vehicle. The culprits fled north along Commonwealth Boulevard, followed by their vehicle.

If this vehicle is seen, members of the public are asked to contact police at 919, 911, CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS, the Criminal Investigation Department at 502-9991/2, or visit the nearest police station.

BIMINI: POLICE INVESTIGATE ROBBERY

Police in Bimini are investigating an alleged robbery of a man that occurred on Sunday 10th March, 2024, around 10:40 p.m.

According to reports, the victim, while at a local bar in Bimini, was confronted by a group of males who reportedly assaulted and robbed him of a large sum of cash as well as other personal belongings.

Police are appealing to members of the public to contact 911, 919, the police station in Bimini, or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) with any information related to this incident.

NEW PROVIDENCE

MORE THAN 500 MARIJUANA PLANTS CONFISCATED BY POLICE

Police have confiscated over five hundred (500) suspected marijuana plants from a property off Fire Trail Road East shortly before 3:00 p.m. on Monday 11th March, 2024.

According to initial reports, officers attached to the Southwestern Division, acting on information and with the assistance of the K-9 Unit, executed a search warrant on the property and seized marijuana plants ranging in length from one inch to three feet.

No arrest was made in connection with this incident as the sole male occupant of the property fled upon the police arrival.

The Drug Enforcement Unit will conduct further inquiries into this incident.
