NEW PROVIDENCE
MALE ARRESTED FOR DRUGS & AMMUNITION POSSESSION
On Friday 23rd February, 2024, law enforcement officers confiscated a large quantity of suspected dangerous drugs and apprehended an adult male.
The incident occurred at a residence on Hunt Close, off Carmichael Road, shortly after 10:00 a.m.
Officers of the Royal Bahamas Police Force and Royal Bahamas Defense Force attached to Operation Cease Fire executed a search warrant on the residence and found ammunition, along with a large quantity of suspected marijuana, and cocaine, which led to the arrest of the sole occupant, a 47-year-old male.
The estimated weight and street value of the suspected dangerous drugs are currently unknown. Investigations continue.
POLICE RECOVERS STOLEN VEHICLES TAKEN DURING ARMED ROBBERY
Two (2) vehicles that were stolen in separate incidents have been successfully recovered by officers from the Royal Bahamas Police Force and Royal Bahamas Defense Force attached to Operation Cease Fire.
In the first instance, shortly before midnight on Friday 23rd February, 2024 officers recovered a red Nissan Cube on Stack Avenue, Nassau Village. This vehicle was stolen from a male during an armed robbery incident which occurred on Wednesday 21st February, 2024 in the area of Hamster Road.
In the final instance, officers discovered a dark brown 2015 Acura TLX on Willis Street in Nassau Village around 1:15 a.m. on Saturday 24th February, 2024. This vehicle was reportedly stolen from a female on Friday 23rd February, 2024 when she was at a service station in the vicinity of Kemp Road.
ATTEMPTED SUICIDE INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY
Police are investigating the circumstances of an alleged attempted suicide that occurred on Friday 23rd February, 2024, involving an adult female.
Initial reports indicate that officers, acting on information, arrived at a residence on East Street around 9:20 p.m., where they met an unresponsive 21-year-old female. It is reported that the female ingested a large quantity of over-the-counter pills.
She was taken by an ambulance to the hospital for further medical attention and evaluation. Investigations are ongoing into this incident by officers from the Criminal Investigation Department.
STOLEN VEHICLE ALERT
Police seek the public’s assistance in locating the following vehicle that was reportedly stolen on Friday 23rd February, 2024 from a residence on Kenton Road, Winton Meadows:

NORTHERN BAHAMAS
MALE ARRESTED: DANGEROUS DRUGS CONFISCATED: GRAND BAHAMA
A 50-year-old male from Blenny Way, Freeport, Grand Bahama is in police custody after he was found in possession of a quantity of suspected marijuana.
This incident occurred on Friday 23rd February 2024 shortly before 9:00 p.m.
According to reports, officers attached to the Drug Enforcement Unit, acting on information, executed a search warrant on a residence situated on Blenny Way, where a search of a shed at the rear of the residence revealed a quantity of suspected marijuana.
The drugs weighed 7.5 ounces with an estimated street value of $450.00. Investigation continues.
