POLICE INVESTIGATE FATAL SHOOTING
Police are investigating a fatal shooting incident that occurred on Saturday, 1st March, 2025, in Elizabeth Estates that has claimed the life of a 24-year-old male.
According to preliminary reports, sometime around 7:00 p.m., the victim arrived at a residence in the area of Antiqua and Australia Avenue when a black Japanese-model vehicle pulled alongside him and discharged gunshots in his direction, fatally wounding him. Police responded to the scene after being alerted of the incident. Upon arrival, officers discovered the male victim with apparent gunshot wounds to the lower body area. Emergency Medical Services personnel visited the scene and examined the victim but found no vital signs of life.

THREE (3) ARRESTED REFERENCE TO DANGEROUS DRUGS
Police on the island of Abaco arrested two (2) men, ages 36 and 21, and one (1) female, age 29, following the stop and search of a vehicle in Murphy Town, where a quantity of suspected Marijuana was discovered.
Preliminary reports indicate that, on Saturday, 1st March 2025, sometime after 9:00 p.m., officersstopped a vehicle while on routine mobile patrol after they observed no license plates were attached.
During the search of the vehicle, they discovered a quantity of suspected Marijuana. Consequently, the two (2) males and one (1) female in the vehicle were taken into police custody and are assisting with the investigation.
The suspected dangerous drugs weight is two (2) pounds and the street value is estimated to be Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000). Investigation continues.
