MAN ARRESTED AND FIREARM SEIZED BY OPERATION BLACK SCORPION
Law enforcement officers confiscated a firearm and arrested a male on Tuesday, 18th February 2025, shortly before 1:30 a.m.
Initial reports indicate that officers from Operation Black Scorpion conducted a routine stop-and- search of a male cyclist while on Montrose Avenue. A firearm containing ammunition was found in his possession. The 53-year-old male was taken into custody and is assisting with the investigation.
Operation Black Scorpion is a collaborative effort involving officers from the Royal Bahamas Police Force and the Royal Bahamas Defense Force.
