NEW PROVIDENCE

HIGH-POWERED WEAPON CONFISCATED IN JOINT OPERATION

On Monday, 17th February 2025, law enforcement officers, in a joint effort, confiscated a high- powered weapon at a home on Cambridge Street.

Initial reports indicate that shortly before 1:00 a.m., officers from Northwestern Division and Operation Black Scorpion escorted a suspect who was in police custody to his residence, where they executed a search warrant in his presence. During the search, they discovered the weapon, which resulted in the 55-year-old male suspect being further cautioned.

Operation Black Scorpion is a collaborative effort that involves officers from the Royal Bahamas Police Force and the Royal Bahamas Defense Force.

ARRAIGNMENT

On Monday, 17 th February, 2025, 24-year-old Cedler Ariste will be arraigned in Magistrate Court for the offences of Murder & Conspiracy to Commit Murder.

These charges stem from a murder investigation that occurred on Sunday, 2 nd February 2025 on East Street South.

ARRAIGNMENT

On Monday, 17 th February, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., 33-year-old Kadero Munroe will be arraigned in Magistrate Court for the offences of Attempted Murder & Possession of Firearm to Endanger Life.

These charges stem from a shooting incident that occurred on Tuesday, 11th February, 2025, on Yamacraw Hill Road.
