NEW PROVIDENCE
ARMED ROBBERY UNDER INVESTIGATION
Police are investigating an alleged armed robbery that occurred on Wednesday, 12th February 2025.
Initial reports suggested that shortly before 8:00 p.m., two unknown males, one allegedly armed with a sharp object, accosted two individuals who were walking together on West Bay Street. The culprits stole cash and other personal belongings from them before fleeing the scene in a nearby vehicle.
STOLEN VEHICLE ALERT
Police seek the public’s assistance in locating the following vehicles that were reported stolen:
- A pearl 2013 Nissan Juke L/P #AD3222 – reported stolen on Tuesday, 11th February 2025, from Spikenard Road off Carmichael Road.
- A silver 2008 Nissan Tiida L/P #AY9711 – reported stolen on Wednesday, 12th February,2025, from Bethel Avenue off Carmichael Road.
- A beige 2006 Nissan Tiida L/P #GF0084 – reported stolen on Wednesday, 12th February2025, from St. Croix Road in Golden Gates #2.
- A black Nissan Cube L/P #AA6636 – reported stolen on Thursday, 13th February, 2025, from Hampshire Street.

POLICE INVESTIGATE DROWNING
Police are investigating an alleged drowning of a 33-year-old Caucasian male that occurred after 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, 13th February 2025.
Preliminary reports indicate that the man was on a snorkeling tour at a resort on Paradise Island when he experienced distress. He was removed from the water and became unresponsive, and CPR was administered but was unsuccessful. Further, Emergency Medical Services personnel also examined the victim but found no vital signs of life. Investigation continues.
DEATH INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY
Police are actively investigating the death of a 41-year-old male who died in the hospital on Thursday, 13th February 2025.
Preliminary reports indicate that on Wednesday, February 12th, 2025, police responded to reports of a male lying on the sidewalk in the Centerville area suffering from apparent injuries to his upper body. As a result, Emergency Medical Services visited the scene, examined the victim and transported him to the hospital for further medical attention.

BIMINI: POLICE INVESTGATE DROWNING INCIDENT
Police in Bimini are investigating an alleged drowning of an 85-year-old Caucasian male that occurred on Wednesday, 12th February, 2025.
According to initial reports, around 10:40 a.m., the man was snorkeling in waters off Ocean Cay when he became unresponsive. He was brought to shore, where CPR was administered but was unsuccessful. A doctor later examined him and pronounced him dead. Investigation continues.

SHARK ATTACK-EXUMA
Police in Exuma are investigating an alleged shark attack involving a Caucasian male that occurred on 11th February 2025 in Highbourns Cay.
Initial reports revealed that the victim was riding an efoil water toy in the basin when he was bitten on his right leg by a shark. The victim was assisted with medical attention and was airlifted to New Providence for further medical attention.
