GENERAL INFORMATION
Police wish to advise the public that we received a complaint from the parent of a 4th-grade student of the EP Roberts primary school who reported that her son was assaulted by a member of the RBPF while on campus. The alleged incident occurred on Tuesday, 28th January 2025 and was reported to the police on 29th January, 2025.
An investigation was immediately launched, and the parent has been regularly updated and spoken to by investigators, who are looking into this matter.
The administrative staff of EP Roberts and the officials at the Ministry of Education are assisting the police with this matter.
In addition, a member of the RBPF is also assisting investigators with this matter.
Police also wish to advise that it takes all reports of alleged abuse of any student seriously.
Please be further advised that the member of RBPF who is assisting investigators with this matter is NOT a school resource officer (SRO), nor are they attached to the School Policing Division.

ELEUTHERA: OPERATION YIELDS POSITIVE RESULTS
In their firm commitment to reducing criminal activity in Eleuthera, police conducted operation “Full Stop”.
On Wednesday, 5th February 2025, from 4:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the operation targeted prolific offenders, known criminal hotspots, and motorists who violated traffic laws and regulations.
Multiple searches and search warrants were executed at various locations, leading to the discovery of a quantity of suspected marijuana and the arrests of two (2) males, ages 54 and 29. Additionally, several motorists were cited for various traffic offences.
The suspected drugs have an estimated street value of one thousand dollars ($1000.000) and a weight of one (1) pound.
