RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE ALERT
The following vehicle was recovered on Saturday, 1st February, 2025:
- A black 2012 Kia Sportage L/P #AP9300 – recovered from Soldier Road, near Windsor Place Road. It had been reported stolen on Monday, 27th January 2025, from Alcuin Lane, off Bacardi Road.

GRAND BAHAMA: POLICE INVOLVED SHOOTING
A 22-year-old man is in hospital receiving medical attention after being shot by police on Saturday, 1st February 2024.
Preliminary reports indicate that the incident occurred around 5:00 p.m. when officers responded to a domestic complaint at a residence on Ibis Lane. While on the scene, they discovered a male suffering from a wound to his forehead, reportedly stabbed by another family member. He was assisted to the hospital by Emergency Medical Services.
Shortly thereafter, Police located the suspect, who was still armed with a knife. To de-escalate the situation, officers gave the suspect numerous verbal commands to drop the knife, but he refused. The suspect then aggressively engaged the police armed with the knife, putting them in fear for their lives, and was subsequently shot.
The suspect was assisted to the hospital by Emergency Medical Services, where his condition is listed as serious but stable. Investigation continues.
