JOINT OPERATION LEADS TO FIREARM DISCOVERY

Officers from Operation Black Scorpion confiscated a firearm on Friday, 31st January, 2025, offCarmichael Road.

Initial reports indicate that, acting on information, officers searched a bushy area on Mildred Avenue, where they discovered a firearm. No arrests were made.

Operation Black Scorpion is a joint initiative involving Police and Defense Force Officers.

RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE ALERT

The vehicle below was recovered on Friday, 31st January, 2025:

  1. A silver 2012 Nissan Cube L/P #AW4226 – recovered from Coconut Grove. It was reported stolen on Friday, 31st January, 2025, from Philox Close, Tropical Gardens.

NORTHERN BAHAMAS

GRAND BAHAMA: FIREARM SEIZED IN JOINT OPERATION

On Friday, 31st January, 2025, police in Grand Bahama carried out a joint operation, named “Take Back,” which led to the recovery of two (2) firearms.

Preliminary reports indicate that, officers executed a search warrant at a residence shortly after noon, uncovering two firearms. As a result, a 51-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were taken into custody. Investigation continues.
