NORTHERN BAHAMAS

ABACO: STOLEN VESSEL ALERT

Police in Abaco seek the public’s assistance in locating the following vessel that was reported stolen on Tuesday, 21st January, 2025:

  1. A 11 ft. 2 in. white dinghy boat S/N #FL5525SM with a single gray 2017 Yamaha 25 HP engine – stolen from the waters in Marsh Harbour.

If you have any information about this theft or spot this vessel, please contact 911, 919, the nearest police station or Abaco’s Criminal Investigation Department. Furthermore, anonymous tips are encouraged and can be submitted to CRIME STOPPERS @ 300-TIPS (8477).

ARRAIGNMENT

Police wish to advise the General Public that on Wednesday, 22nd January, 2025, a 26-year-old male will be placed before the Magistrate’s Court at 12:00 p.m. to face charges of murder and multiple drug-related offences.

The murder charge is relation to the fatal shooting of a 38-year-old man on Coral Harbour Road on Sunday, 16th June, 2024.

Further, the drug charges are in relation to a major drug seizure following a plane crash on the island of Acklins on Friday, 6th December, 2024.

ADVISORY: R.B.P.F. ANNUAL CHURCH SERVICE IN GRAND BAHAMA

The Royal Bahamas Police Force Annual Church Service in Grand Bahama will be held on Sunday, 26th January, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Central Church of God located at the intersection of Coral Road and Pioneers Way.

There will be two parades on this date:

  1. Initially, the march will commence from Police Headquarters to Central Church of God.
  2. Lastly, from Central Church of God back to Police Headquarters.

ROUTE TO CHURCH:

  • From Police Headquarters, heading south on East Mall Drive to Pioneers Way.
  • Head east on Pioneers Way to Central Church of God.

ROUTE TO POLICE HEADQUARTERS:

  • From Central Church of God, heading south on Coral Road to Ponce De Leon Drive.
  • Head west on Ponce De Leon Drive to Adventurers Way.
  • Continue west on Adventurers Way to Columbus Drive.
  • Head north on Columbus Drive to Explorers Way.
  • Head west on Explorers Way to East Mall Drive.
  • Head north on East Mall Drive back to Police Headquarters.
