NEW PROVIDENCE

POLICE ARRESTED TWO SUSPECTS FOR AMMUNITION POSSESSION

Two individuals were arrested on Wednesday, 15th January 2025, following the seizure of ammunition at a residence.

Preliminary reports indicate that around 1:00 a.m., Fox Hill Division officers responded to a complaint at a home on Johnson Terrace, near Adderley Street. While at that location, they discovered a quantity of ammunition, resulting in the arrests of the two occupants, a 34-year-old female and an 18-year-old male.

RECOVERED & STOLEN VEHICLE ALERT (Recovered)

The following vehicle was recovered on Tuesday, 14th January 2025:

  • A gray 2012 Nissan Tiida L/P #AR8348 – recovered from Fire Trail Road. It was reported stolen on Tuesday, 31st December 2025, on Hunt Close.

Police seek the public’s assistance in locating the following vehicle that was reported stolen on Tuesday, 14th January 2025:

  • A brown 2014 Nissan March L/P #AQ4250 – stolen from Lightbourne Avenue.

POLICE ARRESTED MENTAL PATIENT IN REFERENCE TO ASSAULT

Police wish to inform the public that, in reference to the video circulating on social media in which a male suspect engages the police, the suspect, a 23-year-old, was taken into custody. The Police are doing their due diligence, and the suspect is expected to be charged and appear before a Magistrate Court.

Further, one of the officers was injured as he effected the arrest; however, he sought medical attention and has since been discharged.

SUSPECTED CHILD ABUSE

Police wish to inform members of the public that they are aware of a video circulating on Social Media revealing a child being sexually abused. In response, police arrested a 20-year-old female who is assisting with the investigation.

In addition, police wish to advise members of the public to refrain from sharing nude pictures on social media or with anyone, which can amount to a criminal offence or other possible repercussions.

SAN SALVADOR: POLICE INVESTIGATE SUSPICIOUS DEATH

Police in San Salvador are investigating the circumstances surrounding the suspicious death of a 49-year-old male on Tuesday, 14th January, 2025.

According to initial reports, the male was found unresponsive at a residence in Long Bay and taken to a local clinic in a private vehicle around 9:30 p.m. Despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead by the local doctor. An autopsy is scheduled to determine the exact cause of death as investigation continues.
