NEW PROVIDENCE

ROAD CLOSURE ADVISORY REF: THE ROYAL BAHAMAS POLICE FORCE ANNUAL CHURCH SERVICE

The Royal Bahamas Police Force wishes to advise the general public that the annual church service and parade will be held at Life Changers Ministries, Bacardi Road on Sunday 5th January, 2025 commencing at 2:00 p.m.

ROUTE #1

FROM THE JUNCTION OF CARMICHAEL ROAD & BACARDI ROAD, SOUTH ALONG BACARDI ROAD TO THE CHURCH.

NO PARKING:

From 12:00 noon until after the parade no vehicles will be allowed to park on the following street:-

  • BACARDI ROAD BETWEEN CARMICHAEL ROAD AND THE UNNAMED ROAD JUST SOUTH OF THE CHURCH -----BOTH SIDES.

CLOSURE OF STREET #1

From 12:30 p.m. until after the parade the following street will be closed to vehicular traffic:

    • BACARDI ROAD BETWEEN CARMICHAEL ROAD AND THE UNNAMED ROAD JUST SOUTH OF THE CHURCH

DIVERSION OF TRAFFIC:

Vehicular traffic travelling on side corners of Bacardi Road will be halted or redirected as necessary until the passing of the parade.

ROUTE #2

WEST ALONG WULFF ROAD TO BAILLOU HILL ROAD, NORTH ALONG BAILLOU HILL ROAD TO CUMBERLAND STREET, NORTH ALONG NAVY LION ROAD TO BAY STREET, EAST ALONG BAY STREET TO EAST STREET, SOUTH ALONG EAST STREET TO POLICE HEADQUARTERS.

CLOSURE OF STREET #2:

From 4:00 p.m. until after the parade the following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic:-

  • WULFF ROAD BETWEEN BAILLOU HILL ROAD AND EAST STREET
  • BAILLOU HILL ROAD BETWEEN WULFF ROAD AND BAY STREET
  • BAY STREET BETWEEN NAVY LION ROAD AND EAST STREET
  • EAST STREET BETWEEN BAY STREET AND GOAL ALLEY

DIVERSION OF TRAFFIC #2:

Vehicular traffic travelling on all side corners of Wulff Road; Baillou Hill Road; Bay Street and East Street north of Goal Alley will be halted or redirected as necessary.

The Royal Bahamas Police Force extend their apologies for any inconvenience caused.

NORTHERN BAHAMAS - BIMINI

POLICE INVESTIGATES LATEST TRAFFIC FATALITY

Police are investigating a traffic accident that occurred on Saturday 4th January, 2025 around 12:00a.m., on King’s Highway, Bailey Town which claimed the life of a juvenile male.

According to preliminary reports, the juvenile male, the sole occupant of a silver Mitsubishi Colt, was traveling north along King’s Highway when he reportedly lost control and collided with a flatbed truck parked on the premises of a private business establishment. As a result, he suffered serious injuries, and subsequently he was pronounced deceased on the scene by the local medical practitioner.

Officers from the Traffic Division-Grand Bahama will travel to the island to conduct further investigations into this incident.
