NEW PROVIDENCE
FIREARM ARREST
On Thursday, November 14th, 2024, sometime around 8:15 p.m., police officers acting on information received and armed with a search warrant executed it at a residence on Balfour Avenue. During the search, in the presence of the lone male occupant, officers discovered a firearm and a quantity of ammunition in a northern bedroom and bathroom respectively.
Consequently, the lone male was taken into police custody and is assisting with the investigation.

EMERGENCY AIRCRAFT LANDING
On Friday, November 15th, 2024, sometime around 1:37 p.m., the police received a report from Freeport Control Tower of a plane inbound from Cat Cay to Freeport International Airport that was experiencing mechanical difficulties.
A short time later, at about 1:47 p.m., it was reported that a Twin-Engine Piper Aircraft (N91119) crashed and landed in bushes opposite the Jim White Baseball Field while attempting to make an emergency landing.
The six individuals on board received minor injuries and were transported by Emergency Medical Services to the hospital.
Investigation continues.
