NEW PROVIDENCE
POLICE INVESTIGATE FATAL STABBING
Police are investigating a stabbing incident that has claimed the life of a 57-year-old man.
Preliminary reports indicate that shortly before 1:00 a.m. on Sunday 10th November, 2024, the victim was found unresponsive inside a home on Huyler Street, suffering from a stab wound to the upper body. It is reported that sometime around 9:00 p.m. on Saturday 09th November, 2024, the victim was overheard arguing with a male known to him, which escalated into a physical altercation.
Emergency Medical Services attended the scene but found no vital life signs.

POLICE INVESTIGATE INFANT’S DEATH
An investigation has been launched into the death of an infant that occurred on Saturday 09th November, 2024.
Initial reports indicate that around 6:00 p.m. the female was taken to the hospital by ambulance after being discovered unconscious and unresponsive by her mother and another family member.
It is reported that prior to being discovered the infant was fed by the mother. An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death. Investigation continues.
FIREARMS SEIZED IN SEPARATE INCIDENTS
On Saturday 09th November, 2024, law enforcement officers confiscated several firearms in two (2) separate incidents based on received information.
The first incident occurred around 9:00 a.m. on Soldier Road, where police confiscated two (2) firearms without ammunition. No arrests were made.
The second incident took place on West Street off Fleming Street, after 8:00 p.m., involving officers from Operation Ceasefire. Reports indicate that officers searched a derelict vehicle near a bar and discovered two (2) loaded firearms. No arrests were made.
Operation Ceasefire is a collaborative effort involving officers from the Royal Bahamas Police Force and the Royal Bahamas Defense Force.
TWO MEN ARRESTED IN STABBING INCIDENT
Police are questioning two (2) males in connection with a stabbing incident that has left a 41-yearold man hospitalized on Sunday 10th November, 2024.
According to initial reports, after 8:30 a.m., the victim arrived at a residence on Huyler Street off Baillou Hill Road, where he was attacked by a group of males. Responding officers arrested two (2) men, both aged 18, while at the scene.
The victim suffered multiple stab wounds, head injuries, and serious injuries to his upper limb. He was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle and is currently listed in serious condition.
POLICE INVESTIGATE NEAR-DROWNING
On Sunday 10th November, 2024, police responded to reports of a near-drowning involving an infant at a home in Coral Harbour.
According to preliminary reports, sometime after 2:00 p.m., the infant was discovered submerged in a pool during a social gathering. He was immediately retrieved from the water and transported to the hospital by ambulance for additional medical care.
Investigations are ongoing.
NORTHERN BAHAMAS
GRAND BAHAMA: POLICE CONFISCATE SUSPECTED DRUGS
Police in Grand Bahama seized a quantity of suspected marijuana on Saturday 09th November, 2024, on East Sunrise Highway shortly before 9:00 p.m.
According to reports, officers attached to Operation Falcon Claw searched inside an object that was outside a bar and discovered a quantity of suspected marijuana. No arrests were made.
The estimated weight and street value of the suspected drugs are currently unknown. Investigation continues.
