NORTHERN BAHAMAS
GRAND BAHAMA: TWO ARRESTED IN DRUG CONFISCATION
On Wednesday 03rd January, 2024, police in Grand Bahama took two (2) individuals into custody for drug possession.
Preliminary reports indicate that around 2:00p.m., officers executed a search warrant at a residence in Gold Rock Creek where a quantity of suspected marijuana was discovered, which led to the arrest of the two (2) male occupants, aged 66 and 41.
The estimated weight and street value of the suspected drugs is currently unknown. Investigations continue.
ABACO: POLICE INVESTIGATE ARMED ROBBERY
Police in Abaco are investigating an armed robbery that reportedly occurred on Wednesday 03rd January, 2024, at a residence in Marsh Harbour.
Preliminary reports indicate that around 8:15 p.m., two (2) adult male family members were outside their residence when they were confronted by two (2) males allegedly armed with handguns.
The culprits reportedly forced the victims into their residence, where they restrained them along with two (2) additional family members and stole an undisclosed amount of cash and personal belongings before making good on their escape in a northwestern direction.
