NEW PROVIDENCE
POLICE SEEK SUSPECT IN FATAL DISPUTE
Police are actively searching for a male suspect in connection with the death of a man on Monday 4th November, 2024, in Bain Town.
Preliminary reports indicate that a social gathering was taking place at a home on Augusta Street. Shortly after 10:00 p.m., an argument ensued between two (2) men in the backyard. The dispute escalated, resulting in one of the men striking the other with an object. The victim collapsed from head injuries, and the suspect fled the scene.
Emergency Medical Services visited the scene but did not find any vital signs of life.
MAN INJURED IN SHOOTING INCIDENT
A shooting incident on Monday 4th November, 2024, in Mason Addition has left a 19-year-old man seriously injured and hospitalized.
Police were alerted after 7: 20 p.m. by ShotSpotter, which detected gunshots in the area of Hercules Street and Saxon Way. According to initial reports, the victim was riding a bicycle east on Hercules Street when two (2) unknown males approached him. One of them brandished a firearm and shot towards the victim before both fled the scene.
The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to the hospital, where he is listed in serious condition.
ROBBERY INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY
An investigation is underway into an alleged robbery incident that occurred on Monday 4th November, 2024, around 6:00 p.m.
According to preliminary reports, the victim had just arrived at a residence on West Avenue, off Carmichael Road. As she exited her vehicle, a silver Japanese-model vehicle with three (3) males pulled behind her. Two (2) of the males exited the vehicle, approach and assaulted her, and subsequently stole her personal belongings before returning to their vehicle. The culprits then left the scene using a shortcut that leads to Center Drive.

RECOVERED & STOLEN VEHICLE ALERT
Recovered
The following vehicle was recovered on Monday 04th November, 2024:
- A brown Nissan Tiida L/P #AY1876 – recovered on All Saint Way. It was stolen on Sunday 27th October, 2024, from Seawall Manor Close, off Gladstone Road.
Police seek the public’s assistance in finding the following vehicle that was reported stolen on Monday 4th November, 2024:
- A silver 2014 Nissan Note – stolen from London Avenue, off Carmichael Road.
- A gray 2014 Nissan Note – stolen from London Avenue, off Carmichael Road.

ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS ARRESTED, STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERED
Police have recovered a stolen vehicle and arrested three (3) men in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on Tuesday 05th November, 2024.
Initial reports indicate that after 11:30 a.m., the victim was outside a home on West Bay Street when he was confronted by an unknown male armed with a firearm. The suspect forced the victim into the home, where he was restrained, and a second suspect entered the residence. The victim was assaulted before the suspects stole his blue Nissan Sylphy and left the scene.
Acting on information, officers from the Western Division recovered the stolen vehicle near Nirvana Beach and arrested three (3) men, aged 61, 34, and 34.
POLICE REFUTE VIRAL SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT
The police wish to inform the public that they are aware of a video circulating on various social media platforms claiming that an armed robbery occurred within the city of Nassau.
Police wish to advise that the incident, which occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, 3rd November 2024, was NOT an armed robbery but a fare dispute between a taxi driver and a passenger, which resulted in the passenger being put out of the taxi.
The passenger received minor injuries and was treated by medical personnel. Consequently, the taxi driver was taken into police custody and is assisting with the investigation.
