NEW PROVIDENCE
OPERATION CEASEFIRE: ADULT MALE ARRESTED REF DRUG SEIZURE
On Monday 21st October, 2024, officers from Operation Ceasefire, including the Royal Bahamas Defence Force, seized a large quantity of suspected marijuana and arrested a 34-year-old male.
According to preliminary reports, officers conducted a search on a motorist along Copenhagen Road shortly before 9:00 p.m. During the search, they discovered a quantity of suspected marijuana within the vehicle, leading to the sole occupant’s arrest. A search warrant was subsequently executed at his home, resulting in the discovery of additional suspected marijuana and a firearm component.
The suspected marijuana weighed 6 1?2 pounds, with an estimated street value of $6,500.00.
Investigations continue.
STOLEN VEHICLE ALERT
Police seek the public’s assistance in locating a white 2015 Nissan Note that was reported stolen on Monday 21st October, 2024, from a residence on Unison Road off Carmichael Road.

NORTHERN BAHAMAS
ABACO: FIREARMS CONFISCATED, FOUR ADULTS ARRESTED
Police in Abaco arrested three adult males and one female at a home following the confiscation of two (2) unlicensed firearms and a quantity of ammunition on Monday 21st October, 2024.
Initial reports indicate that officers from the Criminal Investigation Department executed a search warrant at a residence in Great Cistern, where they discovered a high-powered weapon, a handgun,and a quantity of ammunition. This discovery led to the arrest of four occupants of the home, including three males aged 56, 46, and 39, and a 49-year-old female.
