NEW PROVIDENCE
Police are currently investigating a reported armed robbery which occurred on Wednesday, October 9th, 2024, at a business establishment on Marshall Road.
Initial reports confirmed that shortly before 6:00 p.m., two masked males, one of whom was armed with a firearm, entered and robbed the establishment of a sum of cash before fleeing into a waiting vehicle (make & model unknown), making good on their escape.

POLICE INVESTIGATES ALLEGED SUICIDE OF A MALE CHILD
Police are currently investigating a reported suicide involving an 8-year-old male child which occurred at a residence on St. Albans Drive shortly before noon on Thursday, October 10, 2024.
Initial reports indicated that an older sibling discovered the unresponsive male child, with a belt
around his neck hanging from the security bars of a bedroom window. The sibling promptly notified a parent, who subsequently notified police for immediate assistance.
Emergency medical services personnel responded promptly, initiated resuscitation efforts, and subsequently transported the child to the hospital for further medical attention; however, he succumbed shortly thereafter.
Investigations continue.
POLICE INVESTIGATES TRAFFIC FATALITY
Police are investigating a traffic accident that occurred shortly before 3:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2024 which claimed the life of an adult male passenger.
According to preliminary reports, the female driver and male passenger, the occupants of a white Honda Accord, were traveling west along John F. Kennedy Drive, west of Gladstone Road when
the driver reportedly lost control and collided into a utility pole on the Southern side of the street, and as a result, both individuals sustained serious injuries.
Emergency Medical Services personnel responded and transported both individuals to the hospital; however, the male passenger succumbed to his injuries while hospitalized, and the female driver remains in critical condition.

EXUMA
ADULT FEMALE ARRESTED FOR OVER 26 POUNDS OF SUSPECTED MARIJUANA
A 31-year-old female is currently in police custody following a substantial seizure of suspected marijuana worth an estimated $62,400.00 by officers on Exuma, in collaboration with Drug
Enforcement Unit officers.
Initial reports indicate that shortly after 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2024, officers arrested the adult female at Moss Town International Airport after uncovering and seizing over 26 pounds
of suspected marijuana hidden within several boxes.
Investigations are ongoing.
