STOLEN VESSEL ALERT

Police are requesting the public's assistance in locating a blue and white 1989 Sea Ray vessel that was reportedly stolen between Friday, September 27, 2024, and Friday, October 4, 2024, from a canal in Coral Harbour.

NEW PROVIDENCE

SUNSET PARK HOMICIDE INVESTIGATED BY POLICE

An investigation is underway into a fatal shooting that occurred around noon on Saturday, October 5, 2024, which claimed the life of an adult male in his early 20s.

Police have confirmed that two males armed with high-powered weapons emerged from nearby bushes and opened fire on the victim, as he sat in his vehicle, shortly after he had arrived at his residence on Vanria Avenue in Sunset Park.

Emergency Medical Services personnel visited the scene and, upon examination, found the male with multiple gunshot injuries to his upper and lower body; however, they were unable to detect any vital signs of life.

SHOOTING INVESTIGATED BY POLICE<

A 20-year-old male is currently undergoing medical treatment following a reported shooting incident that occurred shortly before noon on Saturday, October 5, 2024, in the Green Castle settlement of Eleuthera.

The injured male was transported to a nearby medical facility, where he received treatment for a gunshot wound to his upper body. Due to the severity of his injury, he was subsequently airlifted to New Providence for additional medical care.

Police are actively investigating this incident and seek the public’s assistance in identifying the individual responsible.
