NEW PROVIDENCE
POLICE PROBE RECENT HOMICIDE
Police are actively searching for a lone gunman responsible for a fatal shooting incident that occurred on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, resulting in the death of a 27-year-old male in the Flamingo Gardens area.
Initial reports indicate that around 3:00 p.m., the victim arrived at a residence on Boswaina Court. Upon exiting his vehicle while carrying his female toddler, he was confronted by a lone gunman who emerged from a white Japanese vehicle and opened fire on him, shooting him multiple times.
EMS personnel arrived at the scene and examined the victim, but they were unable to detect any vital signs of life.
The female toddler and another female child in the vehicle at the time of the incident did not sustain any injuries.
