OPERATION CEASEFIRE: ADULT MALE ARRESTED IN FIREARM SEIZURE
Officers from Operation Ceasefire including members of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force confiscated an unlicensed firearm with ammunition, resulting in the arrest of a 30-year-old male.
According to preliminary reports around 9:00 p.m., on Thursday, September 19, 2024 officers, acting on information, went to a property on Fire Trail Road east where they observed a male behaving suspiciously. It is reported that the male on seeing the officers ran and attempted to remove a firearm from his waist. Officers pursued the male, seized the firearm, and subsequently arrested him.
The Anti-Gang & Firearms Investigation Task Force will conduct further investigations into this matter.

THREE SUSPECTS ARRESTED AFTER FIREARM CONFISCATION
Police in Grand Bahama arrested three adult males on Thursday, September 19, 2024, following the discovery of an unlicensed firearm and a quantity of ammunition.
According to initial reports, shortly after 9:00 p.m., officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Pinehurst Drive, discovering and confiscating the items, leading to the arrest of the three male occupants, aged 41, 45, and 19.
The Anti-Gang & Firearms Investigation Task Force will conduct further investigations into this matter.
FAMILY ISLANDS EXUMA
ADULT MALE ARRESTED AFTER FIREARM CONFISCATION
A 35-year-old male is in police custody following the confiscation of an unlicensed firearm on Wednesday 18th September, 2024.
According to preliminary reports, officers from the Exuma Division responded to a disturbance report around 4:00 p.m. concerning a male who was behaving in a disorderly manner at a residence in Hartswell, Exuma. The individual was encountered by officers upon their arrival. During the search of the individual and his vehicle, a firearm with ammunition was discovered inside the vehicle, resulting in his arrest.
