ROAD CLOSURE: RE: RECOGNITION SERVICE FOR STRAW VENDORS
Under the theme "Honoring Our Heroes Past and Present," the Straw Vendors Advancement Association will host a service of recognition on Thursday 19th September, 2024, on Woodes Rodgers Wharf.
The event commences at 11:00 a.m. and will honor “Founding Fathers” of the Straw Market Industry.
To facilitate the event, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Woodes Rodgers Wharf between Navy Lion Road and Frederick Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic.

The Royal Bahamas Police Force wishes to address the information currently circulating on social media concerning the “Entrance Exams” for potential recruitment into the organization.
The Royal Bahamas Police Force did not release the information that is currently circulating, and it is not an accurate representation of the procedure for taking the entrance exams.
The “Entrance Exams” are a selective process by invitation only, and the Royal Bahamas Police Force is presently in the recruitment phase. Prior to receiving an invitation to take the exams, candidates must submit an application through the R.B.P.F. application portal and complete a comprehensive assessment and vetting process.
