NEW PROVIDENCE
OPERATION SECURE CITY: FIREARM SEIZED, TWO ARRESTED
A firearm was confiscated by Operation Secure City 2.0 officers on Saturday, August 24, 2024, which resulted in the arrest of an adult male and female. <9>Initial reports indicate that around 12:30 a.m., officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Palm Tree Avenue in Coconut Grove, where during the search, they found an unlicensed firearm in the home, resulting in the arrests of the two (2) occupants: a 25-year-old male and a 21-year-old female.
Investigations continue into this matter.
STOLEN VEHICLE ALERT
Police seek the public’s assistance in finding the following vehicles that were reported stolen on Friday, August 23, 2024:
- A blue 2009 Honda Fit L/P #AM7032 – stolen from Charles Drive in Faith Gardens.
- A red 1998 Porsche – stolen from Spruce Street in Nassau Village.

Police recovered a green Nissan Bluebird (Sylphy) L/P #AX7217 from Pine Barren Road on Friday, August 23, 2024.

GRAND BAHAMA: FIREARM SEIZURE LEADS TO ARREST
A 33-year-old male is in police custody after officers in Grand Bahama confiscated an unlicensed firearm on Friday, August 23, 2024.
Preliminary reports confirmed that around 10:00 p.m., officers, acting on information, arrived at a licensed premises situated on East Sunrise Highway, where they searched a male on the exterior and discovered on his person an unlicensed firearm that contained a quantity of ammunition, subsequently leading to his arrest.
Investigations into this matter are ongoing.

ARMED ROBBERY INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY
Police are actively searching for two male suspects who robbed a female of her silver Nissan Note with partial license plate number 3186 on Saturday 24th August, 2024, shortly after 11:00 a.m.
Initial reports confirmed that the two male suspects, who were occupants of a white Japanese vehicle, pulled alongside the victim while she was on Fire Trail Road east, when one of the males reportedly produced a firearm and ordered her to exit her vehicle, which she complied with; afterwards, they fled the area, making good on their escape.
