POLICE INVESTIGATE ARMED ROBBERY
Police are investigating an armed robbery incident that occurred on Sunday 18th August, 2024, off Mutton Fish Drive.
Initial reports indicate that around 10:00 p.m., the victim was at a property on Cox Way and Mutton Fish Drive when two (2) masked males, one of whom was armed with a firearm, approached and robbed him of his charcoal gray 2014 Nissan Juke L/P #AA9544.

GRANDBAHAMA: POLICE INVESTIGATE TRAFFIC FATALITY
Police in Grand Bahama are investigating a fatal crash that claimed the life of a 42-year-old male motorcyclist on Sunday 18th August, 2024.
The accident occurred shortly before 9:00 p.m. on Seahorse Road near Coral Court which involved two vehicles: a black GMC Yukon XL, driven by an adult male, and a red and yellow Kawasaki 636 ZX6 motorcycle, ridden by the deceased.
Investigative reports confirmed that the motorcyclist was traveling north on Seahorse Horse Road while the Yukon driver was heading south along the same corridor and made an attempt to travel west along Coral Court, resulting in a collision.
The impact of both vehicles resulted in the motorcyclist sustaining severe injuries, and EMS personnel transported him to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Investigations continue into this matter.

POSITIVE HIGHLIGHTS FOR WEEK IN REVIEW FOR THE PERIOD: 12th AUGUST, 2024 – 18TH AUGUST, 2024
The Royal Bahamas Police Force's zero-tolerance initiatives have led to the arrest of several individuals for violations against the Statute Laws of the Bahamas (criminal and traffic).
For the period in review, the Anti-Gang & Firearms Investigation Task Force Unit successfully seized eight (8) firearms and ninety-three (93) rounds of ammunition, resulting in the arrest and arraignment of six (6) individuals including four adult males, one adult female and one juvenile male.
During island-wide operations for the aforementioned period, the combined efforts of officers from Operation Ceasefire, Secure City 2.0, and Mobile Division resulted in profile checks of five hundred eighty-nine (589) motorists. This led to the arrest of forty-six (46) individuals for various criminal offences, including, Armed Robbery, Possession of Firearm and Ammunition, Possession of Dangerous Drugs with the Intent to Supply, Stolen Vehicle and Outstanding Warrants of Arrest. Moreover, fifty-four (54) traffic enforcement citations were issued to motorists who failed to adhere to the traffic rules and regulations.
