ROUTINE TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO FIREARM ARREST
An adult male was apprehended by officers from Operation Secure City 2.0 on Friday, August 9,2024, after they confiscated a firearm in the Coconut Grove area.
According to preliminary reports, officers conducted a routine vehicle stop-and-search of a maroon BMW shortly after 10:00 p.m. on Bahama Avenue near Watling Street. The search revealed a firearm containing ammunition in the vehicle, which led to the arrest of the 27-year-old sole male occupant.
Investigations are ongoing.
STOLEN VESSEL ALERT
Police seek the public’s assistance in locating a 23-foot mint green Seacraft with one (1) engine that was reported stolen on Friday, August 9, 2024, from a marina near Montague Bay.

GRAND BAHAMA: UPDATE- SECOND VICTIM SUCCUMBS AFTER SHOOTING
Police can confirm that the second male who was hospitalized in critical condition following a shooting incident that initially occurred on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, has succumbed to his injuries this morning (Saturday, August 10, 2024).
Police have successfully arrested an adult male and seized a firearm suspected of being used in connection with this incident.
Investigations are still ongoing.

POLICE SEEK PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE IN RECENT HOMICIDE
Police are investigating a fatal shooting incident that occurred on Saturday, August 10, 2024, involving an adult male victim in the South Beach area.
Initial reports confirm that around 2:30 p.m., an unresponsive male was found on an unnamed dirt road east of Holiday Drive that leads to the South Beach canals. The male victim, who sustained multiple gunshot injuries to his upper torso, was last seen walking with another male shortly before gunshots were heard.
EMS personnel arrived at the scene and examined the victim, but they were unable to detect any vital signs of life.
The deceased is of a medium brown complexion and has a black low-cut hairstyle. He was wearing a white undershirt, dark-colored long jeans trousers, and black and white tennis shoes.
