POLICE SEEK ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS
Police are searching for three (3) male suspects who reportedly robbed another male of his vehicle on Friday 09th August, 2024, while at a community park on Baillou Hill Road.
Preliminary reports confirmed the victim was sitting inside his vehicle shortly before 2:00 a.m. when three (3) unknown males approached; one of them brandished a firearm and robbed the victim of his green Toyota Passo L/P #AY0992. The suspects then fled the scene, traveling north on Baillou Hill Road in the stolen vehicle.
Police are appealing to members of the public to be on the lookout for this stolen vehicle and come forward with any information related to this matter. Please call 911 (919), the Criminal Investigation Department (502-9991/2), or CRIME STOPPERS (328-TIPS) (8477).

GRAND BAHAMA: VICTIM ASSAULTED IN ROBBERY
Police in Grand Bahama are investigating a robbery incident that occurred in South Bahamia on Thursday 08th August, 2024, around 9:30 p.m.
Initial reports revealed that two unknown males approached and physically assaulted the female victim at a residence on Yorkshire Drive, robbing her of her white 2015 Kia Soul, which also contained her female Pomeranian dog, as well as her handbag containing cash.

POLICE RECOVERS STOLEN VEHICLES: TWO SUSPECTS ARRESTED
In separate incidents on Friday, August 9, 2024, operation Cease Fire officers, including the Royal Bahamas Defence Force, recovered two vehicles, one of which led to the arrest of two adult males.
In the first incident, Cease Fire units, while patrolling the area of Cowpen Road, observed a green Toyota Passo L/P #AY0992 that was stolen during an armed robbery being driven by a lone male occupant, followed closely by a gray Japanese vehicle heading in a western direction. Officers attempted to intercept the stolen vehicle, which led to a police pursuit into the Flamingo Gardens community, where the driver abruptly stopped, exited the vehicle, and fled into nearby bushes. All efforts to apprehend him were unsuccessful.
In the final incident, officers conducted a routine stop-and-search on Cowpen Road, west of Faith Avenue, where during the inspection of a silver Mitsubishi Mirage occupied by two males, it was discovered that the vehicle had been stolen in an armed robbery. Officers then took into custody the two (2) male occupants, ages 20 and 21.
The Criminal Investigation Department will continue investigations.
OPERATION YIELDS POSITIVE RESULTS
The Royal Bahamas Police Force continues to conduct island-wide operations "Cease Fire & Secure City". The operation aimed to minimize and prevent criminal activity by targeting prolific offenders, criminal gangs, and motorists who failed to adhere to traffic rules and regulations.
The aggressive stop and search of over two hundred, seventy-two (272) vehicles, combined with name and vehicle profile checks, resulted in the arrest of twenty-three (23) people for various criminal offences, including possession of dangerous drugs, stolen vehicles, armed robbery and outstanding arrest warrants, as well as the issuance of forty-four (44) traffic enforcement citations.
The police would like to encourage the public to contact their nearest police station to provide information regarding suspected criminal activity in their communities.

BIMINI: DRUG BUST LEADS TO ARREST
The police in Bimini, along with the Bahamas Customs Department, made a significant seizure of suspected dangerous drugs on Friday, August 9th, 2024, leading to the arrest of a 51-year-old woman.
According to initial reports, officers, acting on information, searched a storage container at the Bahamas Customs Department Clearance Building located at the Bimini Bay Pier, where they discovered and confiscated 13.1 pounds of suspected marijuana, worth an estimated $26,200.00. As a result of this discovery, a 51-year-old woman in Cat Cay was subsequently arrested in relation to this incident.
Investigations are ongoing.
