NEW PROVIDENCE
POLICE INVESTIGATE SHOOTING INCIDENT
Police are investigating a shooting incident which has left a 22-year-old male in hospital.
The incident reportedly occurred around 10:00 p.m., on Monday 24th June, 2024 in Nassau Village.
Preliminary reports indicate, the victim was standing outside a residence on Sumner Street when he was approached and subsequently shot multiple times by two (2) unknown males both of whom were armed with firearms.
The victim was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle where he remains in critical condition.
Anyone having information regarding this shooting incident is urged to contact 911, 919, or the Criminal Investigation Department @ 502-9991/2. Furthermore, anonymous tips are also welcome through CRIME STOPPERS @ 328-TIPS (8477).
TWO ARMED ROBBERIES UNDER INVESTIGATION
Police are investigating two (2) separate armed robberies that occurred in New Providence.
The first incident reportedly occurred on Monday 24th June, 2024 around 9:50 p.m. at a beach on West Bay Street.
Initial reports indicate that two females were inside a brown Nissan Cube L/P# DA1150, when they were approached and subsequently robbed of the vehicle by two (2) males, both of whom were allegedly armed with handguns.
The second incident reportedly took place shortly after midnight on Tuesday 25th June, 2024 and resulted in a female being robbed of her black Nissan Juke L/P #AJ4862.
Preliminary reports indicate that, the victim on arrival to her residence in Excellence Estates was approached by two (2) males who exited a dark-colored Japanese vehicle. It is reported that one of the males produced a firearm and demanded the victim’s vehicle.
The culprits robbed the female of her vehicle and left the area in the vehicle, followed by their accomplice in the other vehicle.

RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLES
Police wish to inform the public that the following vehicles were recovered on Monday 24th June, 2024:
- A burgundy Nissan Juke L/P #AW9375
- A white Nissan Note L/P #AZ6328
UPDATE: FEMALE SHOT @ YELLOW ELDER GARDENS
Police wish to inform the public that the 36 year old female shot in Yellow Elder Gardens on Sunday 23rd June, 2024 remains hospitalized in critical condition.
