NEW PROVIDENCE
POLICE INVESTIGTE TWO SEPARATE HOMICIDES
Police are investigating two (2) separate homicides that have left two males dead.
The first incident reportedly occurred shortly before 3:00 p.m. on Saturday 15th June, 2024 in southwestern New Providence.
Preliminary reports indicate that two brothers were inside a Nissan Note at the intersection of Sir Milo Butler Highway and Carmichael Road, when they got into an altercation.
It is reported that the younger brother assaulted the older brother to the head with an object and exited the vehicle on foot. It is further reported that the older sibling, pursued the younger brother and fatally struck him with his vehicle. The 43 year old sibling is in custody assisting with the investigation.
The second incident occurred around 6:00 a.m. on Sunday 16th June 2024 at a private aviation center on Coral Harbour Road.
Preliminary reports indicate that the 38 year old victim, who is an employee at the aviation center, on arrival to work was approached and subsequently shot multiple times by the occupant of a white Nissan Note. The victim was taken to hospital via EMS where he succumbed to his injuries.
Acting on intelligence, officers arrested the suspect, a 25 year old male of Fire Trail Road in the departure lounge of the Domestic Terminal at the Lynden Pindling International Airport.
Police are investigating and again make an appeal for individuals to find alternate ways to resolve their conflicts.
NEW PROVIDENCE
POLICE INVESTIGTE SHOOTING INCIDENT
Police are presently investigating a shooting incident that has left a male in hospital receiving medical attention.
The incident reportedly occurred around 6:00 a.m. on Sunday 16th June 2024 at a private aviation center, Coral Harbour Road.
At present, the details surrounding the incident is unknown; however, a suspect is in custody.
POLICE SEEK ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS
Police are searching for two (2) male suspects in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on Saturday 15th June, 2024.
Preliminary reports indicate that shortly after 5:00 p.m., two males, operating a jet ski, arrived at a business establishment docked at East Bay Street.
It is reported that one of the males entered the establishment, brandished a firearm and robbed the establishment of a large sum of cash.
The suspects reportedly fled the scene on the jet ski, headed towards Montague Beach.

MALE HOSPITALIZED IN STABBING INCIDENT
A 33 year old male of Whites Addition is in hospital after being stabbed on Saturday 15th June, 2024, at Western Esplanade.
Preliminary reports indicate that around 11:30 p.m., the victim got into an argument with a male known to him and was subsequently stabbed to the upper body. The victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance where his condition is listed as critical.
Police are investigating and appealing to members of the public to come forward with any information that could aid in this investigation.
NORTHERN BAHAMAS
ABACO: POLICE INVESTIGATE TRAFFIC FATALITY
Police in Abaco are investigating a traffic accident that has left one male dead. The incident reportedly occurred around 11:00 p.m. on Saturday 15th June, 2024, on S.C. Bootle Highway in Treasure Cay and involved two (2) vehicles: a white Ford F-250 with a single male occupant and a white Suzuki Carry with two occupants.
Initial reports indicate that the F-250 was traveling west, and the Carry was traveling east when the two collided. The passenger of the Carry was able to exit the vehicle; however, the driver was trapped and had to be extricated utilizing the Jaws of Life. He succumbed to his injuries on scene.
Investigations are ongoing.
ABACO: POLICE SEIZE A FIREARM
Police in Abaco confiscated a loaded firearm from a bushy area off S.C. Bootle Highway on Saturday 15th June, 2024.
According to initial reports, around 7:30 p.m., officers acting on information proceeded to the area where the weapon was located. No arrests were made in connection with the incident. Investigations continue in this matter.
BIMINI: POLICE CONFISCATE DRUGS AND ARREST MAN
Police in Bimini arrested a 31 year old male at a marina following the confiscation of a quantity of suspected Marijuana.
Preliminary reports indicate that sometime after 8:00 p.m., on Saturday 15th June, 2024, officers, acting on information, arrived at a marina in Bimini, where they observed a male acting suspicious.
It is reported that the male, upon seeing the officers ran and was observed discarding an object. The male was pursued, caught and subsequently arrested. A search of the area resulted in the discovery of a quantity of drugs. Investigations are ongoing.
