POLICE INVESTIGATE DOUBLE SHOOTING
Police are investigating a shooting incident which has left a 37 year old male dead and a 24 year old male in hospital.
The incident reportedly occurred around 10:00 p.m. on Monday 10th June 2024 in the area of Market Street and Bahama Avenue.
Preliminary reports indicate that a group of individuals were standing outside a business establishment when a dark-colored Nissan vehicle stopped nearby. It is reported that two (2) males, both of whom were armed with firearms, exited the vehicle and opened fire on the 37 year old male, which resulted in him being shot multiple times. He succumbed to his injuries on scene.
The second victim, a 24-year-old man, was shot to his lower body and was transported to the hospital via ambulance for medical treatment.
