NEW PROVIDENCE
POLICE INVESTIGATE SEPARATE ARMED ROBBERIES
Police are investigating separate armed robberies that occurred on Friday 07th June, 2024.
The first incident happened around 9:45 p.m. on Ramsey Street, off Carmichael Road. Initial reports indicate that the victim was leaving a residence in his vehicle when a silver Japanese vehicle with three (3) unknown males stopped in front of him. Two (2) of them exited the vehicle, armed with firearms, approached and robbed the victim of his blue 2012 Nissan Note L/P #AX9810. The gunmen fled the area in the stolen vehicle, followed by the suspect’s vehicle.
The second incident took place around 10:00 p.m. at a residence on Golden Isles Road, also off Carmichael Road. Preliminary reports indicate that the victim arrived at a home in his gray 2013 Nissan Note L/P #AY9354 when a silver Japanese vehicle pulled behind him. Two (2) unknown gunmen exited, approached the victim, and robbed him of his vehicle. Both culprits entered the stolen vehicle and left the scene, followed by the suspect’s vehicle.
The final incident occurred around 11:00 p.m. on Porkfish Road, off Soldier Road. According to preliminary reports, the victim was confronted by two (2) unknown males upon entering his vehicle. One of them brandished a firearm and robbed the victim of his dark gray 2016 Nissan Versa L/P #AZ4633. Both culprits then fled the scene in the stolen vehicle.

NORTHERN BAHAMAS
GRAND BAHAMA:
Police in Grand Bahama are searching for a 25-year-old male resident who went missing in the waters off Coral Beach on Friday 07th June, 2024.
According to initial reports, the male was operating a jet ski around 5:00 p.m. when he encountered a wave that resulted in his jet ski overturning. After the male did not resurface, bystanders swam to the area to search for him but were unable to locate him. The jet ski was later brought back to the shore.
Rescue efforts, involving both the police and the Royal Bahamas Defense Force, are ongoing.
