STOLEN VEHICLE ALERT
Police seek the public’s help in locating a black 2012 Nissan Cube L/P #AU1895 that was reportedly stolen on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from a residence on Hawthorne Road off University Drive.

JUVENILE ARRESTED FOR FIREARM POSSESSION
A 17-year-old juvenile male has been apprehended by the police following a high-speed chase and subsequent arrest for firearm possession.
Police investigation can confirm that a juvenile male was arrested shortly before 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024, after concerned members of the public reported two males adorning face masks seated inside a white Nissan Note that was parked at a local banking institution in western New Providence.
Responding officers encountered the vehicle in question, driving at a high rate of speed on Windsor Field Road. They engaged the vehicle, resulting in a pursuit in which the driver lost control and crashed into a wall. Both occupants of the vehicle exited and fled on foot, with one of them discarding an object in the process.
Responding units cordoned off the immediate area, apprehended the 17-year-old juvenile, retrieved the discarded object, which turned out to be a firearm, and collected other items from the vehicle for evidentiary value.
The second individual involved in this incident is being sought after by the police.
Police attribute their success to vigilant citizens and strongly urge the public to remain aware of their surroundings and, if they notice anything suspicious, to promptly contact the police and report suspicious activity.
POLICE SEEK HELP IN DOUBLE SHOOTING
Police are again appealing to members of the public who may have any information regarding the double shooting and robbery that unfolded at a business establishment in the Palmdale area on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, to contact 911, 919, the Criminal Investigation Department at 502-9991/2, the nearest police station, or Crime Stoppers at 328-TIPS (8477).
The incident is currently under active investigation.
