STOLEN VEHICLE ALERT

Police seek the public’s assistance in locating a silver 2015 Honda Fit L/P #AR9589 that was reportedly stolen on Saturday 18th May, 2024 in the area of Robinson Road and Fifth Street

NORTHERN BAHAMAS

GRAND BAHAMA: POLICE CONFISCATE FIREARM

Police in Grand Bahama confiscated a high-powered weapon on Friday 17th May, 2024 around 7:30 a.m. from the Tivoli Gardens area.

Officers from Operation Iron Claw, acting on information, searched an abandoned vehicle when they discovered and confiscated the weapon. There were no arrests made in connection with this discovery.

Investigations are ongoing.

BIMINI: ARRESTS MADE IN FIREARM AND DRUG CONFISCATION

Police in Alice Tow-Bimini seized a firearm and suspected dangerous drugs on Sunday 19th May, 2024, in separate incidents, resulting in two (2) arrests.

In the first incident, around midnight, officers were on mobile patrol when they conducted a routine stop-and-search of a male outside a local bar and discovered a quantity of suspected marijuana in his possession. This resulted in the arrest of the 27-year-old male.

During the final incident, which occurred shortly before 1:00 a.m., officers, while making checks at a local night spot, observed a male who was inside acting in a suspicious manner. Officers conducted a routine stop and search of him and discovered a firearm containing ammunition in his possession; this led to the 31-year-old's arrest. Investigations are ongoing into both incidents.
