NEW PROVIDENCE
POLICE SEEK ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS
Police are searching for three (3) males responsible for two (2) separate armed robberies that occurred Saturday 04th May, 2024.
The first incident reportedly occurred shortly after midnight outside a residence on St. Vincent Avenue, Elizabeth Estates. Preliminary reports revealed that the victim was standing near his vehicle when he was approached by two (2) unknown males.
It is reported that one of the culprits brandished a firearm, as the other suspect stole parts from the victim’s Nissan Cube. Both culprits reportedly fled the area in a dark-colored Japanese vehicle, which was parked nearby.
The second incident reportedly occurred around 9:30 a.m. at a residence in Cartwrightville, Fox Hill. According to reports, the victim was outside his residence when he was approached and subsequently robbed of cash and other personal items, by a male known to him, who was armed with a knife.
Police are investigating both matters, and appeal to members of the public who may have any information that can assist in locating the perpetrators to contact 911, 919, or the Criminal Investigation Department @ 502-9991. Furthermore, anonymous tips are also welcome through CRIME STOPPERS @ 328-TIPS (8477).
STOLEN VEHICLE ALERT
Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a black 2013 Honda Accord L/P #AX6708 that was reported stolen on Saturday 04th May, 2024, from a residence on Lumumba Lane off Fox Hill Road.
