POLICE RECOVER VEHICLE TAKEN IN ARMED ROBBERY

A gray 2006 Toyota Vitz that was taken during an armed robbery on Saturday 05th May, 2024 was recovered by officers from the Southwestern Division shortly after the incident in Golden Gates.

Preliminary reports indicate that shortly before 1:00 a.m., the victim on arrival to his residence located on St. Kitts Road, was approached and subsequently robbed of his vehicle, by two (2) unknown males, both of whom were armed with high-powered weapons.

One of the culprits reportedly fled the area in the victim’s vehicle, while the other suspect fled in a dark-colored Japanese vehicle that was parked nearby.

Police recovered the vehicle, which was abandoned by the suspects in the area of St. Vincent Road and Antigua Street.

Anyone with information that can assist the police in identifying and locating the suspects responsible for this incident, are asked to contact 911, 919, or the Criminal Investigation Department @ 502-999/21. Anonymous tips are also welcomed through CRIME STOPPERS @ 328-TIPS (8477).

POLICE INVESTIGATE TRIPLE SHOOTING

Three (3) adults, two (2) females ages 30 and 28 years, and a 29 year old male are hospitalized following a shooting incident which occurred at a night club on Saturday 05th May, 2024.

Preliminary reports indicate that sometime around 3:00 a.m. police were alerted via its ShotSpotter technology of gunshots being discharged on Nassau Street.

At present police are uncertain of the circumstances surrounding the shooting; however, police are investigating and will provide details in a subsequent news release.

The victims were all taken to hospital via private vehicle, where both females condition are listed as stable, and the male condition as serious.
